17 Stories - a resource for aboriginal children

The 17 Stories Course was developed to address the need of reaching children that are primarily oral learners from a storytelling culture. Goals of the course are to:

* Come - Develop a pattern of regularly attending a ministry program

* Learn - Develop an understanding of God's overall plan of the Gospel through the Old and New Testaments

* Share - Teach and encourage sharing Bible stories

The 17 Stories Course empowers ministries with a tool to integrate children into their programs. Children establish a consistent pattern of attendance by acquiring a sequence of Bible-story picture cards. When all the cards are arranged in order, they create a large picture depicting the meta-narrative (over-arching theme) of the Bible. Materials include a Teacher’s Manual and 16 card set for each participating student.
